What Is Rated As The Best Bike Lock ??

Postby Huihahaa » Tue Jun 14, 2011 7:41 pm

Hi, I need to buy a high end bike lock for my nice bike, as I will be leaving it underground parking lot, with some security supervision. There is a heavy steel with loops to attach it to.

What bike lock stands out as the very best one these days?

Thank you very much

And the weight of that thing! I shopped for a new lock a few months ago and played around with that Abus model and it was a shocker. How many regular riders actually carry one of them around?

Probably best used as an 'on-site lock' - to be left locked at the workplace bike parking. Yes 3.75kg is one heck of a lump of security

The best lock is a crappy bike.

My Kryptonite is yet to fail though.
Do or do not. There is no try

Having lived in New York I can say that the Kryptonite New York was a popular lock there too!

Only problem is it weighs a freaking ton!!
